Kilrane NS has been taking part in the European Bluestar programme since 2015. This programme aims to promote awareness regarding the European Union and what it means for Ireland to be a member state of the EU. Each class decides to learn all about one particular EU country also. European week is celebrated every May in Kilrane N.S.
This year, 2023, marks the 50th anniversary of Ireland joining the European Union. To mark this, we had many special guests visit our school this year. This included French Ambassador, HE Vincent Guérend, Bulgarian Ambassador HE Gergana Karadjova, Minister of State and Wexford TD James Browne and Cathaoirleach of the Rosslare Municipal district, Cllr. Lisa McDonald. Well done to all the boys and girls on their fantastic class projects and for giving a huge Kilrane 'Céad Míle Fáilte' to our visitors.
