Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have an exciting agenda for December:

Annual Christmas Decoration Competition
Wexford Co. Council is holding its annual Christmas decoration recycling competition again this year. The challenge is to make a Christmas decoration out of waste and recycled materials such as egg cartons, cardboard, newspaper, plastic bottles, cartons etc. If your child would like to enter the competition he/she must bring their decoration into school by MONDAY 5th December. Please ensure their name and class is clearly marked with it.

Parents Council Christmas Raffle
The Parents Council will be holding their annual Christmas raffle with fabulous prizes. If you wish to buy a ticket your child has been given a sponsorship cad. The raffle will take place on Thursday morning 22nd December. Your support is always very much appreciated.

For those who bought tickets to visit Santa, a reminder that he is looking forward to meeting all the boys and girls on board the Stena on Monday 5th December. Remember there will be face painting, light refreshments, and parents will be able to have their children photographed in the Grotto, enter into a raffle and also do a little shopping on board. Don’t forget your tickets !

Visit by Musician John Spillane
The school has secured a concert with renowned Irish folk and traditional singer and musician John Spillane. He will be performing in the school hall to 1st – 6th class pupils at 2pm on Wednesday 7th December. Can children please bring in €1 each or €2 per family. We are sure the children will have a most enjoyable afternoon.

Christmas Concerts
Concerts / plays will take place this year in the school hall and all parents/families are most welcome to attend. Dates and times are as follows:

2.15pm Ms Hore’s 5th/6th, Mr Kenny’s 6th class

Monday 19th December

2.15pm Ms Furlong’s 2nd class

50/50 Draw
The next draw will take place on THURSDAY 22nd December. If you wish to be included please send in your subscription before WEDNESDAY 21st December. In time for Christmas! Good luck!

Football
A reminder that football continues to take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, before school starts, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd class pupils.

Last day of school term
School will close at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday 22nd December for the Christmas holiday. Children may wear their own clothes on this party day. The Parents Council will draw their raffle and they have organised surprises for all the children that morning!
